The InterContinental Hotel Group made a splash when it debuted its first Indigo branded boutique hotel in France in September 2014. Situated in a Haussmannian townhouse on a lovely pedestrianised street, the hotel is a stylish and quiet haven just off the bustling Grands Boulevards. In-demand designer Jean-Philippe Nuel waved his wand over the interiors, which reflect the setting that’s just a stone’s throw from the Opéra Garnier. Elegant wall murals depict ballet dancers, and custom photography captures the neighbourhood’s famous sites. A savvy use of mirrors in the downstairs bar and Tartares restaurant plays with perspective to enlarge the space.
