Atelier des Lumières 2022: Dazzling Shows on Cézanne and Kandinsky
I remember how dazzled I was after I saw the first Atelier des Lumières exhibition on Gustav Klimt in 2018. The excitement of the experience with gorgeous images of Klimt’s master works continuously splashed on the walls, on the floor, and the ceiling along with a soundtrack of Strauss, Wagner, Chopin, Puccini, Mahler, Beethoven and Philip Glass was palpitating. The show starts with the artist’s early figurative paintings and Russian folklore, then graduates to the bold, abstract forms he became known for.
