July Hotel Buzz: BBQs, Bike Rides, Running Tours & Ice Cream
Summer has finally come to Paris, and the city’s hotels are celebrating with classic summertime activities such as bike rides, bbqs, picnics, and plenty of ice cream. Ritz Paris The palace hotel on Place Vendôme is offering some of the most glamorous ways to cool down in the current heatwave. The Ritz Bar is now serving cold refreshments, light snacks and even an ice-cream trolley in its beautiful Grand Jardin, which guests can enjoy right up until September if the good weather continues. Those who want to enjoy a classic summer BBQ can head over to the hotel every Saturday and Sunday for a menu of gazpacho, ceviche, sea bream, grilled calamari and more, finished off with ice cream and sorbets. And for those who might need some refreshing sweet treats at home, head over to the Ecole Ritz Escoffier on July 14 to learn the secrets of the hotel’s delicious ice cream and sorbets. Le Bristol Paris If you want to treat the kids to some relaxation time this summer, then head to Le Bristol Paris to enjoy Le Bristol Paris x Bonpoint Kids Club, the hotel’s new spa partnership with children’s fashion atelier, Bonpoint. Available for children aged 6 to 16, the spa menu includes facials and massages specially created for more sensitive younger skins, with a stylish play area and delicious pastries for children to enjoy post-treatment. Adults can also join kids for a treatment and some family time together or alternatively take advantage of the hotel’s new fleet of electric bicycles and head out on a leisurely bike ride around the city. Guests who want to make a day of it can also order a gourmet picnic basket prepared by Le Bristol’s five Michelin-star Chef Eric Frechon, which will be delivered to a location of your choice for a Parisian picnic. La Réserve La Réserve will launch a new ‘Long Live Summer’ package this month, giving guests the chance to make the most of Paris and their hotel stay until September 5th. La Réserve’s knowledgeable concierges will help guests discover more of the city by sharing their secret addresses, arranging a private yacht for a river tour on the Seine, and offering guests museum tickets of their choice to take in one of this summer’s must-see exhibitions. Guests will also receive a VIP welcome in their room or suite, cocktails with tapas at the bar or on your private terrace, and American breakfasts to enjoy before a day spent sightseeing. Le Pavillon de la Reine Le Pavillon de la Reine is also offering a new way to see Paris this summer, this time on foot as you jog around the city with Paris Running Tours. The hotel has teamed up with the “sight-jogging” company on a new package, which offers guests private and tailor-made running tours to suit different paces and abilities. Guests can have their route customized in advance to take in all of their must-see sights, choosing between an 8, 14, or 20km route. Even better, the package also includes some post-run relaxation time in the hotel’s luxurious spa with a well-deserved treatment.
