Alsace Comes to Paris at LE BHV MARAIS
Discover the customs and traditions of Alsace in the heart of Paris when you head to LE BHV MARAIS. Now until December 24th, the courtyard of LE BHV MARAIS l’Homme has transformed into an authentic Alsatian village. In collaboration with the Alsace Region and Alsace Destination Tourism, LE BHV MARAIS invites you to taste Alsatian specialties including a vast assortment of liqueurs and aperitifs from the Nusbaumer distillery, savory Alsatian sauerkraut from the Riquewihr delicatessen, warm chewy pretzels or the famous Flammekueche, a decadent tart made with cheese, onions and lardons. Pair your meal with organic Alsatian wines by Le Domaine Achillée. Desserts take the form of gingerbread men and jars of honeyed chocolate. Within this timeless Christmas Market composed of wooden chalets, discover Alsatian crafts and become inspired by the elaborate window displays at LE BHV Marais, where you can also purchase traditional Alsatian treats. While gift shopping at LE BHV MARAIS, pick up your Christmas tree at BHV’s tree market and stop by the department store to decorate it in Parisian style. In the video featured above, Marais local (and Bonjour Paris contributor) Kasia Dietz takes you on a tour of the Alsatian village and the holiday decorations at LE BHV MARAIS.
