Napoleon and Paris

As the main political centre of the Napoleonic saga, Paris had a double purpose as a hub of enlightenment but also as a showcase of the new absolutism.

The exhibition shows the transformation that the Emperor’s relationship with the Paris brought to the urban landscape, such as the column in Vendôme or les Invalides, and also the influence that this architecture and urban planning had on other European capitals.
