Chocolate Classes, Vintage Shopping and More: Stylish Summer Hotel Stays in Paris

For those looking for a Parisian hotel with a difference, Le Pavilllon de la Reine, Le Pavillon des Lettres, and Hotel du Petit Moulin never fail to disappoint.

A family-owned group, the three hotels have in common a great sense of style but each with its own unique design concept. Combine this with the more intimate feel of a boutique hotel and you have a real Parisian home from home.

For summer stays in the capital, the trio has launched unique packages to give guests the chance to explore a more hidden side of Paris, each in keeping with the spirit of each hotel.

After launching a baking package last year, the Hotel du Petit Moulin has once again developed a weekend for foodies, launching Chocoholic stays with Parisian cooking school Cook’n With Class. Chocolate-loving guests (although really, who isn’t?) will have the chance to learn the art of chocolate-making in one of the school’s master classes, creating artisanal chocolates to take away and enjoy at home, as well as learning some valuable tips and techniques along the way.

For those who come to Paris for the shopping rather than the food, the hotel has also launched vintage shopping weekends inspired by its fashionable Marais location. Not only can guests spend their fashionable weekend in the Christian Lacroix-designed hotel, but those booking the package can also enjoy an afternoon with a vintage expert exploring the treasure troves of the area, as well as picking up some tips on how to find the best and most stylish bargains.

Nearby Le Pavillon de la Reine has launched the Paris Secret Canals tour as its special summer package, taking guests on a boat trip on the Canal Saint-Martin to cool off in the heat. This tour will allow to guests to explore a new side to Paris with a expert guide, as well as relax and enjoy the breeze on a hot summer’s day.

And finally the literary inspired hotel Le Pavillon des Lettres is focusing on another integral part of French culture for summer, launching a collaboration with perfume house Fragonard. The hotel is inviting guests to “follow their noses” for a weekend and discover the art of perfume-making, starting with a guided tour of the Nouveau Musée du Parfum Fragonard before a master class with an expert perfumer. As well as learning the art of perfume making, guests will also leave feeling very Parisian with their own unique bottle of French Eau de Cologne – the perfect way to bring back memories of a summer weekend.
