Harvest in the Rhône Valley
©Clay McLachlan ©claypix 2011
After trekking along the steep vineyards high above Condrieu, I was welcomed with this absolutely perfect view.
Viognier harvest was well under way among the vineyards of Domaine Georges Vernay as I watched and photographed with the ideal light giving a glow to both the grapes in baskets on the truck as well as the harvesters returning to the vineyards to fill their buckets once more.
The Rhône River is seen in the distance winding its way through the Northern Rhône Valley south of Lyon.
Technical Details: iPhone 3Gs, Hipstamatic app, John S lens, Ina’s 1969 film.
