The longest day of the year has come and gone in Paris – and it will only get better as the summer rolls on!  July is a fantastic time to find yourself in Paris! The champagne-coloured sky of a Parisian sunset invites you to lose yourself completely to the beauty of this magnificent city. Take a stroll along the Seine or ching your glasses on a sun-filled terrace as you watch the world drift by. And if you have to head indoors here are a few good reasons to do so…   Opera, Ballet and Theatre Performances Palais Garnier Kaguyahime – Choreographer Jiri Kylián, through July 15th A ballet in the form of traditional Japanese dance interwoven with western music, this ballet is meant to explore moods and emotions that shape our world. La Petite Danseuse de Degas – Choreographer Patrice Bart, through July 13th Bringing Degas’ famous statuettes to life, this ballet brings the infamous Chat de Noir and backstage world of ballet dancers to life before your eyes. La Donna Del Lago, Conductor Roberto Abbado, through July 10th Considered Rossini’s most romantic opera, the story unfolds in Scotland.  However, the true crowd pleaser of this performance will be the return of Juan Diego Florez to the Paris Opéra.  Monsieur Florez has been hailed as the greatest Rossini tenor of our times. Chatelet Theatre Les Miserables – Performed in English , closes July 4th Les Mis is celebrate 25 years as it rolls into Paris.  There are still incredible seats available for this classic tale of those to dreamed a dream… Les Etes de la Danse de Paris, Novosirbirsk Ballet Company, Directed by Igor Zelensky , July 7th – 24th The festival, Summer of Dance in Paris, features the Novosibirsk Ballet company for the first time since 1967.  A variety of performances are on the agenda, including Balanchine Evening, Swan Lake and La Bayadere. Opéra Bastille The Cunning Little Vixen, Conductor Michael Schonwandt, through July 12th Said to be inspired by the a cartoon, this opera brings to life the life of the forest.  The story unveils the circle of life as seen through the creatures that live in the forest. Bastille Day 14 The country of France celebrates its national holiday with a parade down the Champs Elysées…
