This week’s photo was contributed by Michael Diamant, who recounts his recent discovery of a jewel in the 6ème…
How could I refuse an offer to visit Paris 13-20 September and attend the birthday parties of two of my grandchildren. Little did I know, Paris would be enjoying a final surge in Summer weather. Indeed, upon arrival, the days were warm and the evenings, balmy. In between grandparental duties, I was able to stroll the streets in a short sleeved shirt, devouring a Doner Kebap from my favorite shop in Batignolles and experience the beautiful Luxembourg Garden. It was my first visit to this magnificent place, only to discover that this is where the students from the Sorbonne hang out in between or instead of going to classes. It was midday, the sky was azure blue, the flowers were still vibrant and old and young alike were savoring the last rays of Summer. Do venture over to the 6th.
