This week’s photo captures visitors in front of The Wall of I Love Yous, a monument to love created by Frédéric Baron and Claire Kito. The wall, located in Le Square Jehan-Rictus in the 18th arrondissement, is covered with over 311 written declarations in 250 different languages. The project started when Baron began asking people to write down ‘I love you’ in their maternal language in a notebook. He ended up with three large notebooks filled with over 1,000 ‘I love yous’ from languages all over the world. He asked artist Claire Kito to put together the phrases, and from this the wall was born. Today it has become a meeting place for people from all over the world.
