Deck the Halls: Wow-Worthy Christmas Decorations at Paris Hotels
If Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, then Paris is one of the most beautiful places to experience it. With many Parisian hotels transformed for the holidays, here is a selection of the most magical and impressive Christmas trees and decorations to really get you in the festive spirit. Le Bristol After stepping through the dazzling Christmas lights draping the entrance of Le Bristol, guests will find the palace hotel transformed for this year’s Christmas celebrations. The Jardin Français has been turned into an enchanted forest of illuminated for trees, while the hotel itself is decked out in Nordic colors with festive pine-tree scents completing the winter wonderland experience. For those who still want more Christmas sparkle, the hotel is also providing a horse-drawn carriage to take guests on a complimentary tour of the Christmas lights decorating the Saint-Honoré area, complete with blankets, hot chocolate, and mulled wine. Le Bristol Paris, 112 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, 75008, Tel: +33 (0)1 53 43 43 00  Mandarin Oriental Paris This year’s decorations at the Mandarin Oriental Paris have turned the hotel’s garden into a Christmas Market. After passing through the hotel’s entrance flanked by Christmas trees and hanging baubles, guests can treat themselves at the gourmet market, offering fresh fruit, vegetables, cheeses, oysters, and caviar, along with classic winter treats such as mulled wine and hot chocolate. Mandarin Oriental Paris, 251 Rue Saint Honoré, 75001. The usual greenery in the small indoor garden has been replaced with a classic winter scene of snow-capped fir trees, while the hotel’s Christmas tree has been elegantly decorated with gold and white baubles and ribbons. The gold color theme continues throughout the lounge areas, with tasteful decorations and traditional wreaths making the already private and intimate hotel feel even more homely and cozy this Christmas. Hotel San Regis, 12 Rue Jean Goujon, 75008 Paris, Tel: +33 (0)1 44 95 16 16 Le Royal Monceau This year, Le Royal Monceau’s decorations have turned the hotel into its very own ski resort, Val Monceau. After taking in this year’s contemporary style Christmas tree in the hotel’s lobby, guests can head to snow-covered wood cabins on the terrace. You’ll find fur throws and an exclusive new menu to warm up with, including seasonal signature cocktails and this year’s “Bûche de Noël Cristal,” an exclusive creation from Pierre Hermé inspired by the snow-capped mountains of the Alps. Maison Fusalp will also bring an Alpine touch to the pop-up ski resort with its collection of ski-wear. Le Royal Monceau, 37 Avenue Hoche, 75008 Paris, Tel: +33 (0)1 42 99 88 00 Four Seasons George V Four Seasons George V manages to impress all year round, thanks to the hotel’s Artistic Director Jeff Leatham, who decorates the stunning hotel with his floral creations. However for Christmas, Leatham has instead installed traditionally decorated Christmas trees in the lobby of the hotel, and as a centerpiece, a huge Christmas tree “bauble” which guests can actually walk through. Once inside, guests will also find a collection of trees in the courtyard, beautifully lit with thousands of twinkling fairy lights.
