Shopping
Along Avenue Victor Hugo, there are many small boutiques geared towards the home, such as Francis Batt, a popular kitchen supply store, or Zara Home, further down the Avenue towards the Arc de Triomphe, as well as Biolia, which sells Scandinavian-style furniture and home accessories. There are also many choices for women’s clothing stores on the avenue such as Isabel Marant’s three-story boutique, Kujten (flagship store), Fratelli Rossetti, Rouje, Maje,Vanessa Bruno, Ba&sh and Agnes B’s outlet store.
To satisfy your sweet tooth, there are several high end bakeries, such as Lenôtre, a high-end patisserie, as well as Patisserie Michalak, and À la Mère de Famille, a chain of stores that have been selling chocolate to Parisians since 1761. It’s a great place to pick up gifts for friends and family back home.

In the Passy section of the 16th, there are a multitude of women’s clothing stores such as Tara Jarmon, Cyrillus, Longchamp, Zara, Sandro, Uniqlo, Agnes B, Carroll, Calzedonia, Sézane, as well as shoe stores such as Repetto, Jonak, Ann Tuil, and Bobbies. There are also many options for men’s clothing such as Figaret, Balibaris, Fursac and Saint James, which began making sweaters for Norman fishermen in 1889. For teens, one of the big attractions is the Brandy Melville store which has a small cafe inside, as well as Fleux, which sells a variety of stylish candles and home decorations, Sephora for makeup, and Subdued, for reasonably priced casual clothing. For the home, be sure to check out Maison Sarah Lavoine, which carries a range of refined yet modern furniture and home decor, or Casa Lopez, which sells colorful rugs, lamps, and tableware.

On weekends, families can often be found with their small children at playgrounds such as the Square Lamartine, or in parks such as the Jardins de L’Avenue Foch or the Jardin du Ranelagh, or riding bikes through the massive Bois de Boulogne. Inside the Bois, you can take a short boat ride to have lunch at Le Chalet des Îles, which is located on a small island in the middle of the forest or take in a play at Le Theatre de Verdure du Jardin Shakespeare. On the northern side of the Bois, you’ll find the Fondation Louis Vuitton, designed by the late Frank Gehry, which is a fabulous modern glass building hosting rotating art exhibits.

Where to Eat & Drink
There are several restaurants near the museums in Trocadéro offering beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower. The Café de l’Homme offers a high-end menu with both indoor and outdoor seating, while Le Girafe offers a casual chic ambiance with equally stunning views from its terrace. At the Palais de Tokyo, Bambini attracts a young and hip crowd with its funky and vibrant decor.
On Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, you can also find a quick snack or lunch at the Marché President Wilson (opposite the Trocadéro on Avenue de President Wilson) with farmers selling fresh produce or vendors offering crepes or prepared dishes.
