This book tells the story of Hemingway’s first marriage from the point of view of his wife. A fictional account that draws heavily on primary archival material, it includes the backstory of how the Hemingways met in Chicago, and follows their relationship through to the tragic end of his life.

About your host:
Janet Hulstrand is a writer, editor, writing coach, and teacher who divides her time between the US and France. She created and has taught literature classes for City University of New York study abroad programs in Paris since 1997, and teaches online classes for Politics and Prose bookstore in Washington DC. She writes frequently for Bonjour Paris and France Today, mostly (though not entirely) about books related to France.
Janet is the author of Demystifying the French: How to Love Them, And Make Them Love You and the recently published A Long Way from Iowa: From the Heartland to the Heart of France.
