Writing from the Heart Workshop in Champagne Country

Writing from the Heart…in the Heart of France is designed to help writers—as well as those who think of themselves (so far) as non-writers—discover (or rediscover) the joy of writing…

With expert guidance and encouragement from instructor Janet Hulstrand (a BP contributor)– and along with a small, nurturing group of others– this workshop/retreat will help you “find the time, the courage, and the inspiration to write about whatever is most important TO YOU…”

Just a little over 2.5 hours from Paris, Essoyes is a beautiful, inspiring village that nourished the creative genius of Pierre Auguste and Jean Renoir, among other artists… This writing workshop will also offer opportunities to enjoy fine French cuisines and champagne tastings with local vignerons.

Every Saturday throughout August 2016 Janet Hulstrand will be hosting mini-workshops at Essoyes School from 2 pm – 5 pm. These ‘taster sessions’ are beneficial for those looking for a warm-up to the full workshops on offer, a refresher. Visitors can enjoy a glass of champagne in the village after the workshops, followed by a guided walking tour at 6 pm, which will include stories of the life of the Renoir family in Essoyes, taking participants to key Renoir locations and past the fantastic sites of the beautiful champagne village.

Additional workshops will be held throughout the year, with fall workshops running from 18th – 24th September and From October 2nd – 8th 2016.
