Etoile Kiss
I was in search of Cave Pétrissans, looking for some hard-to-find old bottles of wine to share with my wonderful small group of French friends, who have some of the most knowledgeable and refined palates in all of France. I brought my camera along to photograph l’Arc de Triomphe at Place Charles de Gaulle Etoile on this beautiful and temperate last day of summer. I walked around the circle and was inspired by the shimmering green leaves blanketed in sun. I stooped low to place the trees in context with the Arch when all of a sudden a couple leaned in and embraced each other. Paris never ceases to amaze me with random moments of perfection.   www.claypix.com   For more photography by Clay McLachlan: Beyond the Bread Basket: Recipes for Appetizers, Main Courses, and Desserts by Eric Kayser, Clay McLachlan, and Yair Yosefi   French Cooking: Classic Recipes and Techniquesby Hubert Delorme, Vincent Boue, Clay McLachlan, and Paul BocuseEric Kayser’s New French Recipes by Eric Kayser, Yair Yosefi, and Clay McLachlan
