Afternoons can be spent watching a horse show at the neighborhing Great Stables, which also houses the largest horse museum in France. Certainly the regal Château de Chantilly, and the five cottages of Marie-Antoinette’s Hameau, merit a visit. There, too, you can taste the famous crème Chantilly (like whipped cream). In the evenings stroll past the Domaine de Chantilly as it illuminates against a twilight sky.
