Photo of the Week – November 22, 2013

This photograph was taken aboard the ferry that brings passengers and freight across the Channel each day. I admire the textures captured in this image. We see flaws of the sea-beaten windows illuminated by the sun and silhouetted figures separated by window panes, creating a triptych. These slight abstractions create an interesting perspective on the ferry crossing – one that highlights the simple beauty that can be found in form and contrast.
