Hemingway’s classic memoir is a love letter to Paris in the 1920s, to youth, and to his first wife. It offers fascinating glimpses of Gertrude Stein, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and other members of “the Lost Generation.” You can read either of the two available versions, but Janet recommends the 1996 version.
