St Germain-des-Pres Jazz Festival
The 16th edition of St Germain-des-Pres Jazz Festival brings a rich tradition of jazz music to Paris once again this May. The festival will host exceptional concerts, including special choice artist Stephanie Belmondo, unique meetings and collaborations, including The Golden Gate Quartet and Sister Grace, the unveiling of new talents Elchin Shirinov and the EYM Trio, and special guests of honor Portal – Peirani – Parisien alongside Six artists album releases. The event will also fearure exhibitions, chats, conferences, master classes and workshops.
Since 2001, the festival has featured performances by outstanding international artists including; Lisa Simone, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Brad Meldhau, first concert of Norah Jones in France, Manu Katché, Manu Dibango, Michel Legrand, Michel Portal, Kyle Eastwood, Vijay Iyer, Paolo Fresu, Kenny Barron, Kurt Elling, Lucky Peterson, Richard Galliano, Ben l’Oncle Soul, Raphael Gualazzi, Eric Bibb and many more.
The festival will take place around St Germain in unique locations including Saint-Germain-des-Prés church, Odéon Theater, Maison des Océans, Paris-Sorbonne University, Paris Descartes University, the Sénat, Réfectoire des Cordeliers, Hôtel Lutetia, Irish Cultural Center.
