The Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University launched the Hall of Achievement in 1997 to commemorate the school’s 75th anniversary. The Medill alumni selected for this prestigious honor number among the most prominent newspaper, magazine, television, advertising, public relations, education, law, business and nonprofit professionals in the world. And our very own Robert J. ‘Bud’ Korengold was honored this year!
The Induction Ceremony was held on Monday, April 24 at a dinner on Northwestern University’s Evanston campus, and it brought together the award winners, faculty and members of Medill’s Board of Advisers. This year Medill was especially excited to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Hall of Achievement, and they marked the occasion by inducting ten illustrious Medillians. Robert was especially happy to be able to receive this honor amongst much of his family, including one family member currently enrolled at Northwestern. Medill even had Christine Brennan (MSJ ’81), who is also in the Hall of Achievement and is a sports columnist for USA Today, serve as the emcee!
Robert thanked the school for helping him get his family over from France for the event, but in addition he identified the "crucial role Medill played in my journalistic career."
We congratulate you Bud on this marvelous achievement and wish you many more!
