Sprinkle Some Holiday Sparkle into your Paris Life
The magic of Paris is alive and well. After all, the City of Light puts on its best show during the holiday season. From the ever-changing five-story holiday tree at Galeries Lafayette, to the artistic and child-pleasing windows everywhere (but especially at Printemps, BHV, Bon Marché, and Galeries Lafayette), to Christmas trees all over town adorned in various ornamental styles, to the many Marchés de Noël dotting the city—we are in holiday high gear. The city even goes patriotic with the French tricolors blue, white, and red—the twinkling blue in St Germain, the fairyland forest of a thousand points of white light on Avenue Montaigne, and the subtle cascades of red on the Champs Elysées. And when the Bûches de Noël arrive in the patisseries, the oyster stands line the streets, the tiny apartment-sized sapins stand proudly on the sidewalks waiting to be chosen, and the smell of roasting chestnuts fills the air, we know we’re getting close. Happy Holidays to all.
