After a three-year renovation, the Rodin Museum [1] recently reopened [2] to the great joy of Parisians and visitors alike. On a recent trip to Paris, I spent a rainy afternoon touring the beautifully restored Hôtel Biron, where the museum is housed. Having visited three times since 2007, it has always been one of my favorites, so naturally I was anxious to see the improvements. We were not disappointed. With a fresh coat of paint, the exquisite chandeliers cleaned, the lovely old mirrors reflected the magnificent sculpture. I was particularly drawn to the new room where Rodin’s studio is recreated. The restoration has allowed more of his work to be exhibited which is a treasure. A memorable afternoon spent in one of Paris’s most beautiful museums…
