The Talk of the Town: Hôtel de Crillon Reopens in Paris
Have you heard the news? The Hôtel de Crillon, the beloved landmark on the Place de la Concorde, has unveiled the fruits of a painstaking four-year restoration project. Now managed by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the Crillon is once again turning heads in the very center of Paris. (This beautiful building was created in 1754 when King Louis XV called upon architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel to design the public square now called Place de la Concorde.)
Here’s what to look forward to:
Suites by Karl Lagerfeld. That’s right. The world famous fashion designer has waved his wand over a duo of suites (plus one guest room).
A brand new swimming pool with a cool mural by ceramist Peter Lane.
Gorgeous leafy courtyards by renowned landscape designer Louis Benech.
Delicious dining at L’Ecrin (read more about the hotel’s gastronomic restaurant in our article here).
Sense, A Rosewood Spa. Enough said.
A hotel bar which will give the city’s famous watering holes a run for their money. Les Ambassadeurs is a historic setting (the ceiling is actually classified) where you can imbibe craft cocktails and champagne to the sounds of live music every night of the week.
Desserts by Pastry Chef Jérôme Chaucesse, who’s recognized as a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF).
Food and wine pairing dinners in the wine cellar, with rare wines dating from the early 20th century.
And the list goes on….. Check out more of the photos below.
