Event Description

Immerse yourself in the cultural works of Brazil at the “Une saison Bresilienne” season at the Maison Europeene de la Photographie. The unique season features a series of exhibitions, film screenings, exclusive literature and events which explore the depth of creative works by artists inspired by Brazil. There will be works on display by seminal artists Marcel Gautherot, Joaquim Paiva, Celso Brendao and Vik Muniz.

The series also features, the ‘cycles’ program, which is comprised of screenings of Brazilian documentaries and feature films. Films include classics such as Casa Chão by Celso Brandão and Salt of the earth by Wim Wenders and Juliano Ribeiro Salgado. The full program of films can be viewed here.

The library will feature classic Brazilian photographic books and biographies. The acclaimed Brazilian photographer Milton Duran, will be holding a conference, providing visitors with an overview of Brazilian contemporary photography.

Guided tours of the exhibitions for a variety of visitors are available, and can be booked here.

Open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am – 8pm (tickets on sale until 7.30pm). Closed Mondays, Tuesdays and public holidays.
