Event Description

The medical and therapeutic qualities of ‘exotic’ beverages were extolled in the 17th century when they were first introduced in Europe. Tea, coffee and chocolate quickly became linked to pleasure and social graces among the haute-bourgeoisie.

The exhibition offers a new interpretation of these daily rituals through the work of emblematic artists like Boucher and Chardin.

Hours: Open every day 10am – 6pm. Closed Monday
