Event Description
Have you ever wanted to know what life in Paris was like way back in the Swinging Sixties? Comedienne, singer and living legend D’yan Forest has a story for you. “Swinging on the Seine” is a brand-new one-woman show written by Stephen Clarke. Here’s what the funny author behind A Year in the Merde and The French Revolution & What Went Wrong explains about it on Facebook:
“At 84, D’yan Forest is probably the world’s oldest stand-up comedian (now that Prince Philip has retired). D’yan is from New York, but has enjoyed a decidedly swinging 60-year love affair with Paris. This show reveals all the – totally uncensored – details in songs, stories and jokes. It’s on in Paris FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY – before D’yan takes the show to New York – at La Nouvelle Seine, a theatre barge on the left bank, behind Notre Dame.
It starts (promptly) at 5:15pm, Saturday 13 April 2019, at the Nouvelle Seine (on the riverbank, below 3 quai Montebello). Reduced-price tickets (10.95 euros) are available from Billetreduc. Here is the link: https://bit.ly/2WInEme. (Tickets at the door, 22 euros.)
Please come along and enjoy an intense 60 years in 60 minutes.
PS It’s in English.”
