Semaine Italienne, Italian Week in Paris

Event Description

The 13th arrondissement is home to Italian Week in Paris, which has become the meeting place for lovers of Italy. For over 16 years the people of Paris come together to discover the culture, music, food and lifestyle of Italy. 2016’s event will be football themed with three football themed exhibitions presenting France and Italy’s football highlights, great sportsmen and team rivalry’s. The festival is free to attend and begins at the town hall, spreading across the district.

Highlights of the festivities include the Ca Luogo d’Arte theatre company presenting the ”Tale of Italians” on the 22nd of June. Music by Neapolitan promLALALA Napoli on Friday, June 24. The town square will host “Apéros concerts” playing music all evening. The cinema will host the Escorial as usual, from 22 to 24 June a program of Italian films, including a preview of Marco Tullio Giordana, and a special evening dedicated to Ettore Scola in the presence of the daughter of the maestro, June 23. The Mairie Italian music contest, invites all those inspired by Italian music to perform for the jury on the 13th of June at the Mairie to play in the main concert on the 21st of June.
