Event Description

The Rodin museum presents Between Sculpture and Photography, which aims to expand on the 2014 Mapplethorpe Rodin exhibition, delving further into the fruitful relationship between photography and sculpture. The exhibition will focus on eight artists from the second half of the 20th century who’s intertwined works of sculpture and photography play with artistic boundaries. Curating the show is photography historian Michel Frizot, and the head of The Museum Rodin’s photography collections, Hélène Pinet.

Artists with works on display include:

John Chamberlain (1927-2011), Cy Twombly (1928-2011), Dieter Appelt (born 1935), Markus Raetz (born 1941), Mac Adams (born 1943), Gordon Matta-Clark (1943-1978), Richard Long (born 1945) and Giuseppe Penone (born 1947).
