Your favorite summertime event is back in Paris! The annual arrival of Paris Plages attracts Parisians and tourists alike for a seaside feel in the heart of the French capital. Live music, mobile libraries, sports events, and more will provide visitors with a great beach-resort experience.

Usually there are twin venues. The riverside quays of the Rives de Seine park morph into a “beach”, complete with misters and lounge chairs. A second location of Paris Plages is set up around the Bassin de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement, where open-air swimming pools are set up in the canal. Because of the Olympic Games taking place in central Paris, the event at the Rives de Seine will start on August 6. In news for the 2024 edition, the Canal Saint Martin will also have “beaches” and terraces set up as part of Paris Plages.
