Man Ray and Fashion at the Luxembourg Museum

Event Description

This highly anticipated exhibition explores the photography of Man Ray from the fashion perspective, highlighting the work he carried out for great couturiers (Poiret, Schiaparelli, Chanel) and magazines like Vogue, Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar. Fashion photography was still in its infancy but in 1921 Man Ray developed a new, modern aesthetic, blurring the lines between art and fashion. This expo was previously shown in Marseille at the Cantini Museum.
