In the latest wow-worthy exhibition at the chateau de Versailles, Louis XV gets his turn in the spotlight. He reigned for more than 50 years, in a “period that saw the affirmation of the French cultural and artistic model throughout Europe, and also the philosophy of the Enlightenment.” Nearly 400 works provide a better understanding of the monarch and his patronage of the arts.
