Le Jardin des Contes at Musée du Quai Branly

Event Description

Relax in the endless sun and enjoy the abundant greenery of summer in the heart of Paris at Le Jardin des Contes. The 2016 garden embraces the culture of the Pacific, in homage to the current exhibition ‘Matahoata: Arts and Society in the Marquesas Islands’. The gardens, situated in the the center of the Musée du quai Branly welcome families and friends to enjoy a huge range of events including:

Interactive workshops: A Polynesian Tiki Tattoo Design Workshop invites families to design their own unique tattoo design using artifacts as inspiration; another workshop invites guests to build and sculpt their very own Tiki.

A reading room salon – The Garden of Tales Workshop invites guests to discover books and read books whilst enjoying the smells and sights of the gardens and note their experiences in the guestbook.

Story-telling sessions – The Garden of Tales Session is inspired by stories washed up on the shore in bottles; choose a bottle and get drawn into legends and tales from the Pacific.

Music sessions – Siestes Electronics Sunday Sessions are inspired by the festival of the same name take place every Sunday, visitors can enjoy a range of world and techno music.
