Event Description

Don’t miss this culinary extravaganza! Le Fooding’s big event of the autumn. On September 24th, Grand Fooding S.Pellegrino – Plats De Résistance will gather 10 international chefs who try to change the world through food. The message is an important one: the chefs will go back to basics using top quality ingredients to serve delicious food, perfect for sharing, that celebrates community and peaceful coexistence.

Chefs include Yatam Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi, restaurant owners of Ottolenghi (London, UK); Kamal Mouzawak, Souk El Tayeb / Tawlet (Beyrouth, Lebanon); Jessamyn Rodriguez, Hot Bread Kitchen (NYC, USA); Regina Tchelly, Favela Organica (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil); Niki Kopcke and Roberta Siao, restaurant Mazi Mas (London, UK); Aman Jaspal and Sameena Jaspal, restaurant Sarhad (Punjab, India); Pierre Gagnaire, one of France greatest chefs; and Céline Pham: a Franco-Vietnamese chef who works with the organisation Ernest, to cook meals using unsold ingredients and produce from restaurants and food stores in order to redistribute them to homeless people.

Location: La Générale, an old industrial building reconverted into artists’ workshops will host this event, just before its destruction, planned in 2017.

Running of the event: a self-service approach to encourage encounters and discussions between chefs and people. It will be a big banquet throughout the day, divided into 5 services of 200 guests each (11am-1pm ; 2pm-4pm ; 5pm-7pm ; 8pm-10pm ; 11pm-1am) for a total of 1,200 guests. As for the service, guests will have tickets and help themselves; we also consider the possibility for each table to have a dish to be shared family style.
