Kerry Marshall Comes to Paris

American artist Kerry James Marshall is celebrated for his monumental compositions placing Black figures at the center of art history’s grand traditions, drawing on Manet, Caillebotte and Seurat alongside Afro-futurism, comic books, and science fiction. The Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris is staging the first exhibition in France devoted to the Alabama native, organized by the Royal Academy of Arts, London, in collaboration with the Kunsthaus Zurich.
