For the first time ever, a series of 30 hanging scrolls titled  Dōshokusai-e The Colourful Kingdom of Living Beings painted by Itō Jakuchū approximately between 1757 and 1766 are being exhibited in Europe. They will be displayed in the Petit Palais in Paris.

Jakuchū is one the of most celebrated artists from Japan during the Edo period. Due to the extreme fragility of the scrolls, this exhibition is only in Paris for a month so don’t miss!
