Holiday Illuminations on the Champs-Élysées

Event Description

The Christmas lights in Paris are a magical, highly anticipated moment that accompanies the end-of-year celebrations. Many visitors make a pilgrimage to the Champs-Élysées just for the occasion. The inauguration of the illuminations, overseen by Tony Estanguet, the president of the Paris 2024 Olympic committee, took place this year on November 24. To help save energy, the 100% LED illuminations are turned off at midnight every day (except for December 24th and New Year’s Eve, when they sparkle all night).
