Hearts. Romanticism in contemporary art at Musée de la Vie romantique

Event Description

The ‘museum of romantic life’ celebrates the heart and the ways in which it is presented in contemporary art.

Some twenty or so artists including Niki de Saint Phalle, Pierre et Gilles, Sophie Calle and Annette Messager address the theme in their works, in resonance with the museum’s 19th century collections.

This creativity offers new visions of love and illustrates the influence of Romanticism on the artists of today.
