Event Description
An important small museum near the Catacombs in the 14th, the musée de la Libération de Paris – musée du général Leclerc – musée Jean Moulin tells important stories from World War II. Alongside the permanent exhibit (and real bunker where the French Resistance organized during the Liberation of Paris), you’ll find excellent temporary expos like this one. To quote the curators: “A Free French fighter from 1941, then a member of the Resistance and Jean Moulin’s secretary, Daniel Cordier went on to become one of the most committed gallery owners in Paris after the War. Historian and patron of the arts, he donated over 500 works to the Centre Pompidou.”
