Every year the “vitrines de Noël” draw locals and tourists alike for their artistry and fun. The unveiling of the department store’s decorations is a real event. It’s not just the glittering lights and décor that turns heads; there are often animated scenes that bring a magical Christmas world to life. For example, Galeries Lafayette Haussmann is famous for its incredible Christmas tree (the best views can be experienced from the suspended glass walk!), and the festive decorations show off a new theme each year.
