With the exhibition “Berthe Weill. Art dealer of the Parisian Avant-garde”, presented from 8 October to 26 January 2026, the Musée de l’Orangerie invites visitors to discover the gallery owner Berthe Weill, who supported the Parisian avant-garde from 1901 to 1940. Featuring some one hundred works, the exhibition retraces the career of the gallery owner, who exhibited over 300 artists in her Parisian gallery, from Pablo Picasso to Amedeo Modigliani, Henri Matisse and Suzanne Valadon. Located at four different addresses in Paris, her gallery was closed in 1940 under Nazi occupation.
