"Find your passion, and follow it!"--Oprah Winfrey My passions are food, Paris and writing. An afternoon at the Union Square Greenmarket is my idea of excitement. Visiting Paris is my idea of heaven. And much of my writing is about food or Paris, or both. Oprah would be proud of me. I was born in Brooklyn, NY and continue to see the world through its special light. I credit my father, who never left Brooklyn but always encouraged me to, with my wanderlust. And I thank my husband, Phil, for only occasionally suggesting that we wander to someplace other than Paris. My first job was at Parents' magazine, where I met two people who changed my life forever: my supervisor, who filled me with her passion for Paris; and Phil, who became my life's partner and travel companion. I did freelance writing for magazines and newspapers all through my child-rearing years, then re-entered the work world as a copywriter at advertising agencies, and an editor in book publishing. Coming full circle, I am again freelancing for magazines and newspapers, and writing about Paris for a very enthusiastic audience of friends, which now includes Bonjour Paris. I have two children, one on each coast; and four grandchildren, two on each coast. My mission is to make Francophiles of them all.
