Purists to the sport of cycling usually turn their noses up at this event, given that the winner has usually already been decided in the mountains, but this year's Giro d'Italia saw a changing of the leaders jersey in the last stage- so anything could happen.
Europe's largest women only race is held in aid of breast cancer. Participants run 6.7km around the capital. The race also has a number of challenges for the runners. You can expect great costumes and smiling faces.
