Martin Scorcese

Renowned for his daring films, Martin Scorsese is one of the most important directors to of the 20th century. After several Oscar nominations, he was awarded the Oscar for best director for The Departed in 2007. Martin Scorsese has directed many of Hollywood’s greatest actors: Leonardo di Caprio, Robert De Niro, Jodie Foster, Alec Baldwin, and has given us masterpieces such as Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Gangs of New York, Aviator, and The Wolf of Wall Street .

The exhibition pays a tribute to Scorsese’s body of work as a whole, and shows the impact of his artistic approach on American film in general. This retrospective draws on Scorsese’s own private collection in New York, as well as those of Robert de Niro and Paul Schrader.
