Le Cinq Codet

Le 5 Codet Hotel in the 7th arrondissement of Paris [1]
Le 5 Codet Hotel in the 7th arrondissement of Paris

This 7th arrondissement boutique hotel is a glorious new addition to the Paris scene from the owners of Le Burgundy. Newly opened in November 2014, Le Cinq Codet is housed in a former France Telecom building dating from the 1930s. Designer Jean-Philippe Nuel, who has a knack for transforming heritage buildings into contemporary hotels, has created another masterpiece with guest rooms that resemble sophisticated Parisian apartments, particularly the duplex rooms reminiscent of artist’s lofts. The custom décor is droolworthy, starting with the lobby where giant overhead lamps illuminate the marble reception desks that resemble Auguste Rodin’s blocks of marbles (the sculptor’s museum is just a quick walk away).

The elegant rooms are quite comfortable, with every need anticipated. Nice touches include the Nespresso machines and Fragonard bath products. Did we mention the views of the gold dome of Invalides? In fact, Le Dôme suite has a magnificent private terrace that wraps around the building and has a Jacuzzi for soaking up the views features views of both the Eiffel Tower and Invalides. In fact, with a beautiful spa and restaurant, you might find it difficult to leave the hotel at all.
