Sola

BP take: Just steps from Notre-Dame cathedral, Sola is a coveted address: one you need to book as far in advance as you can. Japanese chef Hiroki Yoshitake has earned a Michelin star for his exquisitely prepared fusion dishes (miso-glazed foie gras is a stand-out first course that lingers in memory for days afterwards). The setting inside a historic auberge is lovely, too.

12 rue de l’Hôtel Colbert, 75005. Tel: 01 43 29 59 04. www.restaurant-sola.com. Closed Sunday and Monday. Lunch tasting menu from 48 euros, dinner tasting menu from 98 euros.

Worst customer service ever! Went there for dinner in August. I am a tourist in Paris. Tried to spare a bit more time to get there on time, and arrived 20mins early. I asked to sit by the bar for a drink BUT the Japanese waiter at the front told me NO I HAD TO COME BACK AGAIN. VERY RUDE!!!! BIG MISTAKE!!! I could have ordered a bottle of champagne. I then asked to use the toilet but he said NO THE TOILET LIGHT WAS BROKEN. WHAT A JOKE... lol Have your manager ever trained you to serve your customer in a michelin-star restaurant???? I'm back in England and then I realize that their 1-star is already gone in 2018!!!! No wonder why it's taken away!!! Shame on you Sola! THIS REVIEW IS GENUINE. I will put the same review to all internet search engines for anyone to be aware of.
