Thanks so much, folks, for explaining a green horn the obvious things about aerobatics.
I guess, I keep sticking to aerobics. laugh.gif No loopings there.

It works Johachim; thanks. Another "Screw up" on my part. sad.gif
On this site, you will find many photos of a favorite airplane of Marcel and I...
Including some photos of this beautiful airplane in very "precarious" positions ohmy.gif unsure.gif

Thanks Joachim, I never had this problem in the past, it just now started. I will follow your direction.
What kind of flying do you do? Let Marcel and I know, we like your T-6 Avatar.
Marcel, thos airshow and competition pilots endure more than a brief "Black veil" or "Red veil" laugh.gif
I have seen + 10Gs and - 7Gs on their meters... ohmy.gif ph34r.gif
A bit too much for us Seniors, non? sad.gif wub.gif

QUOTE
If the pilot get sicks?

In aerobatic flights (single), the pilot isnt sick except maybe by the black veil, brief visual malaise. Everyone knows his constraints to avoid the consequences.
For a possible passenger, I wouldn't be the one, sincerely! I yet remember the demonstrations by the flight instructor sad.gif

I can't figure out why it says "My Webpage" I don't have a Webpage?

When you add a link with the http://-button you will FIRST being asked for the link address and THEN for the text the link is hidden behind - and the default for this text is "My Webpage" wink.gif. I simply add the links with Copy/Paste biggrin.gif .

Pentecost was at the end of May!  sad.gif
Is this happening taking place every year??

Well... I forgot La Ferte-Alais totally. It happens rarely that I can be at Pentecost in Paris. I was only once at the Air Show wub.gif smile.gif , three or four years ago. According to 'l'Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis' it takes place every year since 1973.

Oh, just one question: In those small planes, is there just the one pilot or two of them?

Small planes have generally one to four seats. The old ones one or two, mostly one. In most planes with more than one seat two seats are equipped with controls.

If the first, what, if he/she gets really sick???

In this case you have only one possibility: declare a medical emergency and get your plane onto the ground as quick and soft as possible and hope the best. Otherwise..... well... then probably no doctor will be able to help you anymore. sad.gif sad.gif
My Webpage
All about Catherine Maunoury, twice World Champion at the above address.
(I can't figure out why it says "My Webpage" I don't have a Webpage?)
Most aerobatics airplanes except for the trainers are single seat Ursula. You don't seat in those machines "you wear them" ohmy.gif wub.gif wub.gif
Small airplanes only require one pilot.
If the pilot get sicks?
Well, he continues flying the airplane with one hand, and holds the "burp bag" with the other laugh.gif laugh.gif
I'll definitely have a look at that, Mike... as soon as time allows. biggrin.gif

Joachim,
Pentecoste was at the end of May! sad.gif

Thanks for the info Joachim. I just looked at the program; very impressive.
Do you still fly? I believe you still have many Bückers "Jungmans" and "Jungmeisters" in Switzerland. What beautiful flying machines wub.gif wub.gif
This event from the program is for Ursula:
16H32-16H40 : VOLTIGE
1*CAP 232 Maunoury
This young Lady is probably the "best of the best" women (and men) aerobatic pilot. ohmy.gif smile.gif
8 minutes of aerobatics may not sound like much for the spectators, but it can be "real torture" for the pilot. One minute, you are pushed in the seat so hard that you begin to look like Toulouse Lautrec, and the next minute you look like a very tall basketball players.
Thanks again Joachim
If you are in Paris at Pentecost and you like old (and new) planes wub.gif a visit to the La Ferte-Alais Air Show http://www.ferte-meeting.com/index.html and http://www.ferte-meeting.com/infofer04.html is a must.

The show takes place at the airfield of Cerny-la Ferté-Alais http://perso.club-internet.fr/esalis/ and http://perso.club-internet.fr/mr6693/lafeal.htm and is organized by 'l'Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis' http://www.ajbs.com/ which also operates a Living Museum open on weekends and public holidays.
