Jardin d'Acclimatation

After seeing all the grownup tourist stops, your children might want to have some-child fun instead. Jardin d'Acclimatation, inside the Bois de Boulogne, is the perfect place to take them. And taking a train ride around the park, enjoying little rides, children's theatre, pony club and even boat rides will free their little minds from all paintings, buildings and sites with which they've been inundated. Let them free and see their spirits grow as they run among the flowers and nicely kept greens. Big must-do -- visit the Musée en Herbe that offers educational activities and workshops for kids, including a chance for them to actually step into one of Bruegel’s painting and assume one of the characters of his creations. After this visit your little ones will be more susceptive joining you on your next trip to the Louvre!

Stories about Jardin d'Acclimatation

  • The Culinary Children of Christian Constant

    By John Talbott
A recent article by Rosa Jackson of Paris Bites/Paris Notes reminded me that I’ve been meaning to write a piece on Christian Constant and his culinary children for some time.  I suspect the demographic of readers of Bonjour Paris are such that a few will recall a brilliant chart in Rolling Stone published in about 1967 showing how Eric Clapton, Cream and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young formed, split up, re-formed, split up, etc.  Well, in the case of Constant, his geneological chart is a lot simpler to draw.
