Before the five-star La Réserve hotel and spa opened in Paris, after the popular Ramatuelle hotel on the French Riviera, there was La Réserve apartments set inside a Belle Epoque townhouse on Place du Trocadéro, as close to the Eiffel Tower as it gets. The apartments include studios that sleep two guests to three-bedroom flats that sleep a maximum of six. For something ultra exclusive, rent one of the three apartments designed by the French-Tunisian haute couturier Azzedine Alaïa and Carla Sozzani, following their collaboration on 10 Corso Como, the upscale hybrid gallery in Milan. Located in the bohemian-chic Marais neighbourhood, the spacious and bright apartments resemble Berlin lofts dotted with items of furniture from the couturier’s own collection including Marc Newson chairs and Jean Prouvé tables.
Résidence Nell also has a sister boutique hotel, which although is just as sleek isn’t to be confused with the apartments of which there are 17 in total. Completely designed by Patrick Jouin of design duo Jouin-Manku, the simple and tasteful grey interiors are soothing and hushed, making guests feel at home right away. The lodgings vary from a studio to barrier-free accommodations for guests in wheelchairs for instance. Extremely comfortable and brimming with Parisian charm, this option is a real treat even just for a night in the city.
